Item Luck The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items, the properties that are spawned by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their gear earlier in the game. This is more useful in early game runs since players tend to prioritize weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains. Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing. Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned with the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to grant a further +40 Luck or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140. Additionally, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow, can be equipped to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be bought in the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients. Item Failure Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of successfully upgrading that item and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased as high, and the probability that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%.. The success of an can be affected by the luck of that item. All items have a success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5%. The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
